Meet Our Director

Dr. Amelia Aldao is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and the Founder and Director of Together CBT. She specializes in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for anxiety, OCD, stress, depression, and related conditions. She is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Psychology at the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology of Yeshiva University, a Visiting Scholar at Columbia University, and an Educational Consultant in the Psychiatry Department of Mount Sinai Hospital. She is also a member of the Continuing Education Committee of the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT). She writes for Psychology Today (see here) and is regularly featured in major media outlets, including NPR and the Huffington Post (see media coverage).

Further, Dr. Aldao is an academic researcher with a track record of over 60 scientific publications in many of the most prestigious journals in the field. She was a Tenure-Track Professor and Research Lab Director at The Ohio State University and also a Management Consultant at Boston Consulting Group. She received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Yale University and completed an APA accredited Clinical Internship at Weill Cornell Medical College / New York Presbyterian Hospital. She got her B.A. in Psychology summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Pennsylvania.
