Unhooking from OCD: A mindfulness group
If you’re having a difficult time unhooking from obsessive thoughts and/or letting go of compulsive behaviors, this group is for you!
It’s open to people who experience all kinds of OCD: contamination, health, relationships, pure-O, scrupulosity, sexuality, and order and symmetry (“Just right”)
In each session, we practice mindfulness so that we can gain distance from our thoughts and ground ourselves.
We also share our experiences and encourage one another to practice exposure exercises throughout the week.
This is a group for people who are ideally in therapy and are seeking additional support.
We meet every other week. Our first meeting is on Thursday July 6th at 12pm.
We meet virtually. The group is open for people who are in New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Virginia, and Florida.
I have 15 years of experience delivering evidence-based interventions for obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and related conditions. I specialize in exposure and response prevention (ERP), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and mindfulness.
